Before Installation Care

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the doors and windows are properly protected and stored once they have been delivered.

It is unlikely that your products will be installed the same day as delivery, so it is crucial to store them safely to minimise the risk of damage on site before installation occurs.

• Ensure the area where you want your products to be stored prior to installation is accessible and clear of any obstructions. Our delivery driver must be able to safely deliver your products.

• Where possible, doors and windows should be kept undercover to avoid any weather damage, they should also be stored in a cool, dry, dust free space.

• Doors and windows should be kept upright and be stored against a flat, secure surface on a pallet rack or timber planks, not directly on the ground.

• Ensure doors and windows are handled with care and carried in an upright position.

• Doors and windows should be kept wrapped in the packaging until installation time. This will help prevent the products from coming in contact with chemicals on-site such as paint, acids or other chemicals that may damage the glass or frames.

• If your doors and windows are exposed to any of these chemicals, you must remove the exposure straight away by using a soft cloth or sponge with warm soapy water. Do not use a scraper or steel wool, or any other items that may scratch the surfaces of your products.
